Coös Brewing Company is a small brewery in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. We make beer by hand, laboriously and thoughtfully. We strive to make world class beer for our neighbors—sometimes we fall short, sometimes we succeed—yet we strive. Our beer is best enjoyed with a hefty dose of the outdoors, it’s almost like they were made for each other.

Live free and drink good beer.

Our Story

the_brewer.jpg

Coös Brewing Company is a small brewery in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. We make beer by hand, laboriously and thoughtfully. We strive to make world class beer for our neighbors—sometimes we fall short, sometimes we succeed—yet we strive.

Founder, owner, and brewer Colin Finn discovered craft beer at the Vermont Pub & Brewery thirteen years ago, and began home brewing at the encouragement of industry legend Greg Noonan shortly thereafter. Since that first batch of mediocre home brew, he has spent the following decade struggling to get malt, yeast, and hops to conform to his will. He spent time refining his techniques and perspective after moving to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and working an internship at the renowned Hill Farmstead Brewery.  Ultimately, Colin wanted to bring craft beer to his home region of northern New Hampshire, and established Coös Brewing Company in 2018. He can be found there, sharing his love for the ephemeral nature of beer.
